Good afternoon, everyone. Three o'clock straight up on a Thursday edition of OnQ. As always, I'm your host, Rich Canon. As we are coming at you live inside the friendly confines of the SR1029 FN the Game Remote Studios. Very easy to get social with me at RichQ on QXNIG. TikTok at RichQ on the mic. Like, comment, and subscribe to the channel. We're on RumbleKicks Millions, the YouTube channel as well, the X platform all over the place, powered by our good friends over at Fresh Froasted Coffee. As I mentioned, hope you guys had a good sports Wednesday. You're enjoying your 25th of June 2026. We've got a lot to get into. Some movement, some more trades in the NBA. We will get into a little baseball. We'll clean up what's going on in the NFL, which I think is, you know, the NFL, Lloyd Vance is going to jump on tomorrow. We're going to start breaking down the divisions as we typically have done over the last 15 plus 20 years. So we'll have a little fun with that. But I I want to get into, I want to start with, I believe it's, you know, it's getting to the point right now where if you watch the WNBA, and I watch a lot of basketball, as you guys know, and I watch a lot of the WNBA, they could care less about Caitlin Clark. They do not care about their cash cow, their face of the league. They just don't care. And last night was another example of just absolutely garbage. And that's what it was. It was garbage BS cheap shots. Once again, once again, delivered by the opposition against Caitlin Clark. I don't care how you slice it. I don't care how you dice it. If you sit there today and you tell me what transpired last night was nothing short of assault, she got punched in the throat and stepped on by Alyssa Thomas. No fouls were called, of course. And the WNBA has a major, major problem on their hands because you've got all these players that they're so jealous, and it's pettiness against Caitlin Clark. Because this is all it is is targeting. That's all it is. That's all it is. And go back a couple days ago. Go back a couple days ago. She got the need of the groin, the fist to the ribs, the fist to form to the neck throat. I mean, this is just it, it's getting it's getting to the point where if I'm Caitlin Clark, honestly, I sit there and say, the hell with the WNBA. The hell with this league. The hell with this league. It's a garbage league. I'm not gonna play in this league anymore. I'm gonna go play overseas. Now, I know she's not going to do that for a litany of reasons. I understand all of that. But you got what you wanted last night if you're a Caitlyn Clark hater. She got popped around a little bit and then she had to leave the game. Checked out, didn't return. Here we go. And it's I just for the life of me, I don't get it. I don't. Like, why are you gonna continue to subject yourself to that nonsense? It's it's the the league, for some reason, there is uh there is this vendetta, there is this jealousy, there is this just nastiness when it comes to Caitlin Clark because she's a great player. I don't know. Because she puts fannies in the seats, I don't know. Because she's got a little edge to her, too, a little chip on the shoulder, why not? But the league and the commissioner who has her head up, or you know what, let's just be honest. You're supposed to protect. We see it in every other league, do we not? We see it in the NBA. You protect your star players, they're gonna get the benefit of the calls. Hell, look what happened in the NBA finals. Wemby is throwing elbows all over the place, and they protected them the league. Did no flagrant one or twos, no ejections, no suspensions. In the NFL, who do they protect? They protect a quarterback, they protect the face of the franchises, and that's the quarterback. And to watch what transpired last night is a joke. It really is. The the WNBA just does not care, they do not care at all. They don't so in this whole you know, WNBA, they don't care when it comes to protecting your star player, you're dropping the ball. You are absolutely dropping the ball. You have to. I'm not saying placate, cowtail, bow down. I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is you gotta protect your stars. You have to. When you have a league that doesn't care at all when it comes to protecting your stars or faces of the league, that's an issue. That is a major issue, and I know Caitlin Clark won't do it. She won't do it, she just won't. But you know, and then you go to the fact that they leave her off this poster celebrating 30. I mean, they they just the the the the commissioner uh Kathy Ingelbert, like what are you doing? Like, seriously, can you get your head out of your you know what? Do you understand what you have in front of you in a player and talent in Caitlin Clark? And you're allowing players to basically just knock her around, cheap shot, try to go out of their way to hurt her? I mean, you're gonna tell me that the uh novice fans, or maybe the not the diehard hoops fans, maybe the first come, you know, the younger fans that are checking out the WNBA for the first time, you know, the young kids, young girls, young fan base that want to get into the WNBA, they love Caitlin Clark, and all of a sudden they're seeing this. Like, why are they gonna keep turning around and watching when she's knocked out of games and she's not available and you're not gonna protect her? And you're gonna lose eyeballs and ratings. Why? Because there's this jealousy, there's this vendetta, there's this friggin' pettiness because she's a great player. Yeah, and I get it. She's been banged up this year, and the numbers are down a little bit, but you're still, I mean, you're you're you are you you are basically you're you're you're you're you're trying to tap dance on someone's grave, and what you're doing is you're basically piss pissing on your gifts on Christmas morning without even opening them, and you have no idea what's under the tree. That's how naive they are. They have absolutely no idea why, because it's a it's a small present, you don't think it could be a value of sentiment? They have no idea what the hell they're doing, and they're losing eyeballs. They are losing eyeballs. That's what they're doing, and it's making the league and the product look like a joke. A joke. You can't take it seriously, and it's not sustainable. So when you got a league that doesn't care when it comes to protecting your stars or the face of the league, that is a joke and disgrace. It really is. It really is. So where's the commissioner? Where's the commissioner? Come out, talk. Say something. You gonna give us something? Are you gonna keep hiding? And just turn a blind eye. Like, are you that naive? Are you that freaking clueless to understand what you have in front of you? Oh my god. I I mean you you can't be that naive. Your league does not care. The league that you oversee doesn't care about protecting your stars or your faces of the league. Everyone knows it's a joke and a disgrace. Everyone. So you're gonna allow this to continue? Like, to me, I'm telling you, like, it's it again, you can watch the clip and you can argue with me all you want in real time. This is like a culmination. It's manifesting, it's just non-stop over the last several seasons. So that's great. You wanna, you know, uh, hey, there's gonna be suspensions. Hey, wonderful. You know, if you're serious about player safety, you can't watch Caitlin Clark get abused on the floor like this and pretend nothing freaking happened. Like, what are we doing? The standard's either consistent or it's not. You don't even need to know basketball. You can just tell that's a Bush League play. It's cheap shot, it's dirty, it's unnecessary, it's not warranted. And they're gonna allow it to continue because that's what this league is: a friggin' disgrace, a joke. Your credibility is shot to shit, WNBA. You've got none. You've got none. You act as though you've got this 10-year billion dollar TV rights deal, which you don't. And you've got good players in the league and fans that really love the sport and they're fanatical about their teams and want to support it, but then you have what transpired the other night. How can you support that? How can you support that and allow it to continue? Come on. It it's their official, I mean, even like some of the stuff that comes out of their mouth with their official statements. It's just utterly, you know, or you know, what what what they say after I should say, what the coaches sometimes say, what the players sometimes say, the the um, you know, the the opposition. It's just it's gotten to the point right now where I would literally just say the hell with this. I really would. I mean, you have no idea the gravity, the talent that you've got, and they have no idea how to handle it. That's the other problem. They have absolutely no idea. You've got star power. You do. You've got star power, you've got markability, and I understand why Caitlin Clark will never go overseas. She won't because of the deal with Nike, she won't do it. She's expressed interest in exhibition and whatnot, uh, but now you've got if you continue to have these altercations and on court issues with referees and players, and and and and you're dealing with a prominent player, then I can tell you eventually she's gonna turn around and say yes to hell with this. I don't believe this is the moment right now, I don't think it's happening today, tomorrow. And remember, too, it's not like she is uh starving for money because she makes a substantial amount of money. And to her credit, if you recall, she also turned out 15 million to play uh three-on-three league, the big three. But there's leagues, especially overseas and leagues in China that will pay a substantial amount of money. So, like if you if you actually try to decide, you know, what would what would she make overseas, what would she command, it it would be a nice chunk of change. It really would. And she would be treated like a queen, she would be treated like royalty, like royalty. And a lot of NBA or a lot of WNBA players, pardon me, you know, use that offseason because they want to compete in international leagues because they want to supplement their income. But again, she's got that major, major deal with Nike. I think it's like a 10-year deal. Plus, it's not like you're stretched for money where you have to play every single solitary um month. But I think right now it's getting to the point. I said this a year ago. I said this a year ago on the air. This is nothing new. I said this a year ago. If I was Caitlin Clark to hell with the WNBA, I'm going overseas. DB chimes in. That was assault, by the way. Clark should press charges. Uh she's not gonna press charges, but look, it was bad, DB. It was bad. It was bad. It was absolutely bad. But they don't care. They don't care about Caitlin Clark. Why should Caitlin Clark care about them? It's like you got a great player, and you're gonna allow this kind of nonsense to go on. And the commissioner, I'm sorry, she's not fit to be the commissioner. She's not. It's goofy. It's like I get it. You know, you're you know, it's like when they froze out Kobe in the All-Star game, or you know, you you're you're trying to make a statement with a rookie quarterback in your hazing a little bit. It's it's like I get over your friggin' selves. Get over it. I mean, seriously, does this commissioner have a freaking clue, or does she have her head so far up her ass, she just has no idea what's going on? And I hate to say it like that. I'm sorry. I know it comes off as very rough. But like, come on. And there's a difference physical, right? I've seen Thomas do this to other players, I've seen it. She's done it to Brink. She's now Caitlin Clark. I get it. But all I'm saying is it's a culmination. It's adding up, it's adding up, it's adding up, and the league needs to do something, which they're not. And eventually they're gonna turn around. And guess what? You got a no-call, you gotta call it. It was utterly disrespectful. Caitlin Clark's gonna be like the hell with this. See you guys. I'll go play in Europe. See ya. Have fun with your little league. Have fun. See you later. Uh, how about the NBA pulled subsidies? No. Remember, so you gotta remember a couple things. Like, we're talking about two entities, right? Two entities. So if you look at the television deals and you look at the rating, so the WNBA, as much as it pains people to admit, their ratings are correlated, just directly correlated with Caitlin Clark and Caitlin Clark and the Fever, because they draw massive audiences. So games like uh when the fever are playing on ABC CBS, they're hitting millions. They're hitting millions. Where the WNBA dropped the ball is you know, their broadcast rights, they they they act as though they're so the WMBA, it's a 11-year $3.1 billion agreement, which is not bad. I mean, when you think about it. Now, do you want to compare it with, say, the NBA, which is $76 billion? Like the NBA had a monumental 11-year media rights agreement with Disney, NBC, Amazon. That's gonna go all the way to 2036, I believe. So credit to the WNBA, but where they keep dropping the ball is that when you look at the uh the broadcast rights, how they're distributed across wider platforms, you know, they the the the product, it's not where it needs to be. And I'm not saying the NBA has a great product, I think the NBA product is saturated. You've heard me say that. But I think the WNBA, if they did it the right way, if they pushed the right, I mean, this it's a bargain if you think about it. It is, it's a bargain in sports broadcasting, it really is. Because two years ago, they had an 11-year $2.2 billion deal with Disney ABC. Now, they also, I don't believe they have any deals. I think it's a separate deal in Canada because of the expansion franchise. They're gonna do that with um Bell Media, TSN. So if you break it all down, like, I don't know, man, based on their growth, their you know, the trajectory, $200 million a year for main rights packages, that's a steal to me. A steal. So I I think maybe they didn't overshoot the runway and they didn't give themselves a little more wiggle room because they're not pushing, promoting marketing. See, when you allow the face of the league to go through this on a nightly basis, you've lost any type of markability leveraging or leveraging power, I should say. And this is where they drop the ball. This is where they drop the ball. All right, 20 pass, three o'clock hour, quick timeout. Got a lot of comments coming in. A lot more on Caitlin Clark, NBA, another blockbuster deal. We'll get into that. NBA draft coming gone. Your thoughts on that, and uh, we'll dive into a little baseball and a little NFL on this Thursday edition of OnQ. Quick timeout, we'll come back in a minute. All right, welcome back everyone. Twenty-two past three o'clock hour, Thursday edition of OnQ. I'm your host, Rich Cununas. Uh, don't forget to check us out on Kicks Rumble Millions, the YouTube channel, the X Platform. Very easy to get social with me at RichQ On Q, X and I G TikTok RichQ on the mic. We are powered by our good friends over Fresh Roasted Coffee. Check out the show notes, BYP20 on Q20. Um, back your play. We will be back on WWON TV48 in New York starting in mid-August. Lloyd Bans will join me tomorrow. We're going to start going around the league, the NFL that is recapping, or I should say, previewing all their divisions. Uh, so we got the Caitlin Clark conversation, the WNBA that has its head up is cool, as we like to say. Uh, we'll touch on a little baseball. Um, but before we do, the other news come down in hoops. Uh, how about the monster, monster trade? Lamello uh ball traded to Minnesota. I mean, that's that's crazy. It it's crazy because a couple things. I understand he's been off injured. He's still a really talented player, he's a young player. Um, obviously, the Hornets deal him to the Wolves for picks and also uh Nas Reed. They also threw Josh Green into it, but the Timberwolves probably had to make this choice last summer, right? Randall, Reed, you know, potential free agents. But if you look around Minnesota, let's just again call it for what it is. You're trying to appease who? Anthony Edwards. Now, I thought ball played well. I understand he's off injured. Uh, they came on, speaking of the Charlotte Hornets. I mean, they had a really bad start to the season, but they had some monster wins, including a big win over OKC N, the NBA champ, New York Knicks. Um, but I uh, you know, what do they know? That that's really what I'm thinking right now. Like, what do they know? Now, you got a big swing right now. You can realistically build around Anthony Edwards. Are you gonna be able to push the thunder and the Spurs in the Western Conference? I don't know. I don't know. But I think Ball is a very good offensive player. He's a decent three-point shooter, uh, a lot of volume. He can pass, he can navigate, he can work the two-man game, the pick and roll. I think he's a good player. He's got to be healthy, he's got to stay healthy in order for this to pay off and prove dividends. But you're seeing right now in the NBA, everyone's kind of looking. Everyone's looking, okay, you've had eight different NBA champions over the last eight seasons. Why not us? Why not us? So the Timberwolves obviously at a piece and they add some depth. And then, you know, if if you're the Hornets, it is somewhat of a surprising move given the you know the star power because he was he's a star. Lamello ball is a star, he's a very good point guard. He is, he really is. He just needs, like I said, to stay on the floor. But I think this is a kind of a stunning deal because it makes you wonder, well, what's going on that they shipped him out? And if you had to dangle that carrot to get the attention of Anthony Edwards, or if you're Minnesota and you knew you had to make a move, I should say, to get the attention of Anthony Edwards because he was going to try to force a trade. Well, now you got supporting cash, so there should not be any more excuses for Minnesota and Anthony Edwards. There just shouldn't. Now, we know there's going to be some defenses' liabilities and laps when it comes to ball because he's a player that really doesn't take defensive effort particularly serious. But, you know, they went 18-9 that second half playoff push, and they had some big wins. Um, now it'll be very interesting to see uh when we talk about volume score and shooter, it's always about shot selection, right? So we'll see. We'll see how it plays out. But listen, Minnesota got better today, don't get me wrong. But I also feel as though it's okay. What do you guys know that we don't regarding this player? Because you just this came out of it, it came out of the blue. It really did. It came out of the blue. This is nothing like, you know, you wake up and oh my god, the the Hornets are trading uh ball on Josh Green in Minnesota for a bunch of picks and swaps. So I I don't know. I I think there's something, there's there's got something will come out eventually. Like I I don't know. I just don't know. Something will come out where and the Hornets, by the way, had the second most first among teams. You're talking about 40.7 million trade exemption, which is the largest in league history. But I don't know what the Hornets are thinking. Like, all right, was it a tough decision? Are you gonna look at Minnesota and say, well, what are you doing? Or are you gonna sit there and say, Hornets, what are you doing? Because it came out of the blue. It did. Now, as far as the NBA draft, uh, you know, we kind of knew how it was gonna play out the first couple picks. 76ers take the kid out of Bama. Look, I I don't really have too many thoughts. By the way, uh Thomas was received, Thomas has received a flagrant two, one game suspension. So there you go. Alisa Thomas, flagrant two, one game suspension for the contact she made with Caitlin Clark's throat. I mean, the fact that we have to say that. Uh, yeah, I don't know. Like, are the Hornets better off because of the trade? Are you gonna sit there and say young player, good player, but losing trade? Uh losing player? It's not like a James Harden. I mean, this kid's still relatively young in his career, but we'll see. We'll we'll see how it plays out. But as far as the draft itself, I mentioned the uh kid that the Sixers took. And now it's about a fit, right? And I don't I don't get into grading the draft right away because Jonathan Marshall was on the other day. We talked about the first two to three to four picks, right? Which is interesting. Carlos Bruce had a chance to draft a son and he didn't. So the Sixers go with the guard, Falan Jr., uh, number 22. Um, I guess you know, you've you've you've got some offensive firepower. Uh, but it to me, it just shows you that the Jarrett McCain trade gets worse and worse. It gets worse and worse. Like, I I the kid might be a nice player, but I I mean the fit, we're always talking about fit. And everyone got on the Sixers because you traded McCain at the trade deadline, and what the Sixers are trying to do is you know, kind of put lipstick on the pig. And oh, by the way, that draft pick they got, coincidentally enough, or ironically enough, was from the Thunder. And what they did is they sold way too high on Jarrett McCain because he played really well in the playoffs. I I, you know, I again, you got a scorer and a playmaker, right? But he's not a McCain. I mean, think about it, he's not a McCain, and it's about fit on the floor, right? So it's gonna be a bad fit with Maxi because now of a sudden he's gonna be forced to back uh uh Tyrese Maxie up. They're really not gonna play together. So I'm really not sure what the new GM Mike Gansy was thinking. You know, but I don't want to spend too much time on the Sixers because at the end of the day, we know that they're a jug of a friggin' franchise, but you can say they blew the trade, they blew a pick. And, you know, what are we trying to accomplish here? Because you're not competing against the Knicks in the Eastern Conference. That's for damn sure. Period. That's for damn sure. Bell can uh be healthy. He and Ant would be a very interesting backcourt. That's the key. He's got to stay healthy. He's got to stay healthy. Uh the draft, again, no, no, no shocking, you know, surprises. It's funny too, because the Knicks were trying so hard. You know, let's get rid of those picks, let's go rid of those picks, let's go rid of those picks, save a little face here. And uh they were able to do that. All right, NFL. I did want to touch on a little bit of the NFLs. I mentioned Lloyd Vance later on in the week. Uh, I did see that story coming out with the uh Lions. Uh, who's that? Um uh Terrarian Arnold, their cornerback facing felony charges, armed robbery, kidnapping. A lot going on right there. But I mentioned this earlier in the week on the Destin FM updates that I do for Destin FM down in the panhandle with the no supplementary draft, which I kind of wanted to get into a little bit. And maybe we'll get more into that with Lloyd tomorrow. So there's gonna be no supplementary draft, which means that Brandon Soresby's NFL path is pretty much on pause right now. And it's interesting, right? Because the league decided we're not gonna hold a supplementary draft, and it basically came down to risk to reward per the CBA. And I get what the NFL is thinking. It's gonna be a distraction to teams because training camps right around the corner. And again, you're talking about a player that bet thousands of dollars, upwards of 90 grand, 40 wagers on Indiana football while he was on the team. I mean, this kid, I don't think he's gonna have a place in the NFL. So the league decided we're going to decline your petition to enter the supplemental draft, which is not going to be held this year. So this kid's gonna be without a home. And I knew the league, look, you you made your bed when it comes to gambling and you got a lie in it. But I get why they're doing this because they don't want to deal. It's funny though, they'll sign players when you're talking about domestic violence and all this other stuff, all the other nonsense that goes on, but this kid's gonna, it's gonna be very hard-pressed for this kid to find a job in the NFL. Because they don't want to deal with the nonsense and the timing. Now, what's interesting about the NFL is we are in June. July's right around the corner of training camp. You got stuff going on with San Francisco, with Ayuk, that basically is telling them, look, cut me, man. I'll go play with Washington. You got the Rams stock piling up. We talked a little bit about that. Uh, you've got the Eagles that have somewhat of a quiet offseason, obviously, the A.J. Brown trade. Uh, the Giants, somewhat of a, I guess you can say, quiet offseason. I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that bringing in 16 different wide receiver veteran guys that were good 10 years ago is a distraction. But there's a lot going on with the NFL. There's a substantial amount going on with the NFL right now because every season we talk about three or four teams that are gonna jump out, that are gonna surprise that are gonna make some noise. Um, and that's something we'll discuss as we get into the heart of training camp. Obviously, we'll focus a lot on what's going on in the NFC East, but I also want to touch on what's going on with Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville as well for the Florida audience. But I find it it's gonna be compelling. It really is. Because I can tell you right now, there's gonna be pressure on Harbaugh to win with the Giants. There's gonna be pressure on Hurts and Siriani, especially with the fact that they traded AJ Brown to make a deep run with the Eagles. There's always pressure on Dallas, and everyone's waiting for the other shoe to drop with Washington because Washington came out of nowhere two seasons ago, had that remarkable run to the NFC Championship, got blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles, and then last year came back down to Earth second season under center for Jaden Daniels. So, what's the expectation going to be for Washington going forward? And then we have college football, which is right around the corner as well. And we'll dive a lot into what's going on with the SEC. Uh, so let me see. Uh AB chimes in cute. Did you see what Stephanie White said about the official? She basically called it two cheap shots. I tend to agree with you. The WNBA is a joke at this moment. Yeah, it's a joke. And that's why I would turn around if I'm Caitlin Clark, eventually, it's not gonna happen, but eventually, just say the hell with this. F them. I'm gonna play overseas. And it's kind of hard to do that, right? Because she's got that long, that, that, that big time prominent contract with Nike. And you know, I look you never wanna speak on behalf of someone, right? So these other leagues, the NBA, they know how to officiate when it comes to protecting the star players. They do. They're not going to let Steph Curry get dogged like that. You know, maybe Brunson finally earned the respect of some of these goofball officials and the referee. But they're not gonna allow even a LeBron to some extent, you know, SGA with the flipping and the flopping, Wemby, you know, Joker, uh Luca, you know, the list goes on and on and on, right? Because they understand who their cash cows are. They understand they need these players on the floor because if they're not on the floor, you're not gonna get eyeballs and people aren't going to go to the game, and they're already dealing with the load management. And the playoffs were compelling to some extent. And then you had some great comebacks late in the playoff rounds, and then obviously the NBA finals. You had the Knicks coming back in every single solitary frigging game, and that's why the ratings were gangbusters in that New York market, and the Knicks win the championship for the first time since 73. But the league knows how to protect. Where the WNBA is light years behind, they have no idea how to police, how to officiate, how to ref, how to protect their star power, their star players. And you've got, you know, you've got some good eyeballs, you know, you're getting in the heart of the season, but you've just you've got officiating that is beyond, it's like borderline malpractice. I mean, it's just you, you just you can't even dance around this issue anymore. Like, let's just call it for what it is. It's very easy, and it makes people feel very uncomfortable. But we know there are players that are favorite. There's favoritism in the NBA and there's favoritism in the NFL. You know, everyone for years would get on Patrick Mahomes where he would fake, go out of bounds, and then, you know, draw contact for another two, three yards. And all of a sudden, guys are taking shots at him. Well, he's taking shots at us, we're gonna take shots at him. But yet the flag is still thrown in his direction to benefit Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes. You know, can't touch Brady, can't touch Rogers. We've known that for years. Payment, we've known that for years. But the WNBA is kind of skirting the issue. They're turning a blind eye because this is just more than bad officiating. This is more than just bad refereeing. The league, you know, give them truth serum. You you don't need to have a uh a bachelor's degree, you know, a BS or an AS or whatever the hell, a master's degree on the wall in psychology. Let's just break it down, liberal arts terms. They freaking can't stand, they despise Caitlin Clark. The league can't stand Caitlin Clark. So if the league doesn't like Caitlin Clark, if they can't stand Clayton Clark, they're not going to stick up and defend and protect Caitlin Clark. I mean, it's clear as day. It's clear as day to see what's going on. That's why she should turn around and be like, F you, the hell with this. She's not going to. And I give you the reasons why she won't, but she should. She should. She should. She should turn around and be like, the hell with this. I don't need this crap. I'm making enough money. I'll take my talents overseas, frig you. Come back to me, talk to me in a year where you have no frigging eyeballs on the frigging product. How about that? That's the problem I have with this league. Because it's not even. Again, it's not even to the point where it's like malpractice. It's it's to the point where it's not even old school street ball. Like they are going after her to try to send a message and hurt her. And it's almost as though some players maybe are just following along to get along. The extra elbow. You know, the nasty box out, the close out. Because that's what their teammates want. Maybe that's the message that the coaching staff is sending. I don't know. But it's pretty clear, it's pretty obvious. Like, come on, where's the league? Can you turn around and have a statement about these refs and their failure to officiate the game properly or appropriately and start to punish them? That's great. You want to suspend a player, you want to tag the player Thomas with a flagrant one or a flagrant two, or suspension's looming, suspension's coming, that is great. Send a message, suspend the refs, these officials who have their head up their ass just as much as the commissioner does. It's like you know, when you're in school, when you're a little kid, and you know, uh you you got that group that's trying to be nice to you, but at the end of the day, every time during recess, they're gonna bully the hell out of you. They're like toying with you. Oh, they're really my friend. No, they don't like you. They're bullying you, they don't like you. They want to make your life miserable. It's exactly what the league is doing to Caitlin Clark. It's exactly what the league is doing to Caitlin Clark. And ultimately, I would just be like enough is enough. I'm not gonna deal with this crap. See ya. I'll go overseas, I'll be treated like royalty, I'll make my money, I'm already making money. I don't need your WNBA. Shove it up, you you know what. Alright, 343, quick timeout, we'll come back on the other side. By the way, let me just add to uh Thursday edition on Q, get us on XIG, uh, YouTube channel, the X platform. The fact that a player did that and now we have to wait a whole game, uh, a whole day. Like the fact that a player did it to Caitlin Clark during a game and nothing was done about it until the next day, is kind of tell you all you need to know. Seriously. It tells you everything you need to know about the WNBA. So yes, Thomas is suspended for one game, Flagrant fouled two. But it it's just, you know, Tiger Woods, when he came up and he was young, there was this jealousy towards Tiger, right? Because, you know, um, the hats and, you know, the the red and then the black, you know, the Nike apparel on the swag and the emotion and some it rubbed Goffers the wrong way, right? And they wanted to stick it. It was always Tiger of the field. They wanted to figure out a way, ice out Tiger, stick out Tiger, but then they realized Tiger was making Goff cool. Seriously. He was making Goff cool. So now you got a player in Caitlin Clark, or like when we go back when Kobe coming out of Lower Marion, when they tried to freeze him and ice him out. Like, I get it. That's a bit of hazing. You know, being a little physical, I get it. But they weren't going out of their way to injure, knock out, end the career of Kobe Bryant. And then Kobe obviously earned the respect of the lead because he was the black mama and he was a silent assassin and a champion and an all-time great and a Hall of Fame player. God rest his soul. And the NBA understood that. You start protecting those players. You know, they start to protect Jordan as his career progressed, and he started to hit the weights and realize I'm going to bang back with the bad boys because you don't want to lose a Michael Jordan. You don't want to lose a Magic Johnson, a Larry Bird. You don't want to lose a LeBron James, a Curry, a Kobe. You don't. The list goes on and on and on. You understand what I'm saying. But with the WNBA, all these other players think we create the league. Yes. Years ago, we know about some of the all-time greats. But that was then. This is now. And Caitlin Clark has now taken the league to another uh, you know, uh another uh dimension, if you will, right? She's taking it up a notch, another level. I guarantee you, you start to follow and watch her in college, you're like, I love this kid, I love her talent, I love what she's doing. But yet for some reason, the NBA does not, the WNBA does not want to embrace that. They don't want to embrace dad. They they they want they want to keep pissing on this kid. Okay. And they they want to keep trying to hurt her, and they don't realize that if you played your cards right, okay, you can play physical, but within you know that competitive nature and spirit, if the league played their cards right, you're sitting there on a gold mine. And I'm not saying you, you know, let her do whatever. No, the game's going to be physical always. But there's a certain step, there's a certain line you should not cross. And it's been crossed several times, multiple times over the last several seasons. And if you were billing her to be that next great player coming out in the face of the league, and oh, by the way, for those chiming in, don't go to black and white issue because it's just idiots like you that figure out a way. If you support someone, you're a racist. If you don't support someone, you're a racist. Stop, go away. I'm not dealing with you on a Thursday because you're freaking clueless. You have no idea what you're talking about. I'm not even going to give you another breath on it. If you understood what you have in front of you, you're going to treat it accordingly. And they have no idea what they have in front of them until it's too late. Seriously. Until it's too late. And a one-game suspension is that really sent a message. You suspend the officials, or better yet, you start firing officials and referees, or you regroup after the season, you guys aren't coming back. Now you're making a statement. Like enough is enough. Enough is enough. But the problem is the commissioner does not care. She just doesn't care. She really can't tell you why. I can't tell you why. I mean, she made the remarks about player value, right? You've got all this disconnect regarding the league leadership. You've got the CBA negotiations, right? You're patronizing player comments, right? You know, as I mentioned, the CBA, it never it never works. And also, too, this when you think about allowing these players to do as Caitlin Clark, like at a job, it's like a hostile work environment. And the officiating is horrible. It's horrible. It really is. So you can take the league to the next level, but I'm sorry, you got your head up, you're cool. You do. You just don't give a shit. And that's unfortunate. It really is. Because you can't be that naive or dumb. And I don't like to use that word dumb or stupid. Naive, I'll use. Unless you just really, you're just sitting there and you're counting the change. And the players deserve more than that. They deserve more than that. They really do. All right, we're gonna start wrapping up. Don't forget Lloyd Vance tomorrow on a What the Freak Football Friday edition of on Q. We'll get into the NFL. We'll tap into a little more baseball. I know be when saying it. Um man, I'll tell you, the Mets, if you are a Mets fan, just an absolute brutal season for you. Brutal. I mean, it's just it's it's embarrassing. Their run differential is minus 46, 34 and 46. By the way, the Phillies haven't played much better baseball over the last several weeks. They're still four and a half back of the Braves. Yankees trying to get a little distance and breathing room against Tampa in the AL East. But we'll talk a little more baseball tomorrow. And as I mentioned too, we'll start to dive into these divisions. We're gonna stretch it out over the next several weeks leading into uh training camp. And obviously, uh we'll start to look into the uh NFL season, which is right around the corner. All right, don't forget, check out the links, fresh for us to coffee on Q, BYP20.
